UPSC Geologist Exam Syllabus 2015 Pattern Previous Model Question Papers
: 1. UPSC Geologist Examination is held by UPSC every year. This exam
will be conducted once in every year for two categories first is
Geological Survey of India (GSI), and 2nd is Central Ground Water Board
(CGWB). All the candidates who are appearing for this exam must know

to do well in the exam.

Written examination Syllabus: UPSC Geologists Written Exam comprises of 5 papers in total. This written test will be held in 2 categories. Category -I for Geological survey of India (GSI), Category -II for Central Ground Water Board (CGWB).

Second Part :
4. In the second Part of UPSC Geologist Exam, applicants must attend Interview for Personality Test.
5. Note: Applicants of 1st Category must attend the 1st and 4th papers and the 2nd category must appear in 1st, 3rd and 5th Paper.
6. Interview / personality test: Candidates will be selected based on the performance of the candidate in written test and interview/ Personality test. The test will be held for 200 marks.
7. Age Limitation: Candidate should be above 21 years and below 32 years of age. Age Relaxation will be as per Government Rules & regulations.
8. Academic Qualification: Applicant must hold Master’s Degree in Geology / Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a recognized university / Institute / College.
