Syllabus of Written Exam - Written test is key for candidate's success. So, candidates must do well in this objective type written test held by NCTVT. The paper consists of 200 questions which will be held for 2 hours. Here we have published syllabus which is given by NCTVT in relevant trade. Once the candidate clears this test, he will be called for the interview.
3. The syllabus includes the following topics -
1. General English
In order to test candidate's English proficiency and accent this test is conducted. This section includes various questions such as Paragraph Writing or Letter writing questions, Antonyms, idioms, Synonyms, Correct Error Sentences, vocabulary etc.
2. General intelligence (English / Hindi)
This section contains questions from topics such as analogies, problem solving, space visualization, similarities and differences, judgment, analysis, relationship concept, discrimination, observation, decision making, visual memory, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series and figure classification.
3. Arithmetic / Numerical Aptitude
To test the aptitude skills of a candidate, questions based on Fractions, Ratio and Proportion, Percentage, Average, LCM, HCF, Profit and Loss, Discount, Menstruation, Time and Work, Simple and Compound Interest, Time and Distance, etc.
4. General Awareness
To test candidates general knowledge, current affairs and information about surrounding events. This section contains questions from different sections such as Culture, Geography, Economic scene, Sports, History, General Polity and Indian Constitution, etc.
5. General Awareness of related trade
Questions related to a particular post will be asked in this section. If a candidate applies for fire man post, then questions about knowledge of Fire Fighting, life savings drills, causes of fire, operational use of Fire Fighting Equipment, etc.
4. Interview - Once the clears in his written test, he will be called for the interview where questions based on particular field will be asked. This acts as a final selection round.
