5. Exam Pattern and Syllabus :
Two exams need to be cleared before one is able to qualify as an assistant in the Informatics Written paper is of 3 hours and only after clearing that does one become eligible for typing speed paper which is of thirty minutes. Paper one deals with Aptitude Test and awareness of General nature in Information Technology. Topics in paper one are Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning and analytic reasoning, current affairs, problem solving, development in technology field and affairs affecting Rajasthan and India on the whole.
Technical Theory or IT paper tests one’s knowledge of computer system, Presentation Software like MS Power point (PP), Excel spread sheets, representation of Data, Concepts of Files, word processing (MS word), UINIX, LINUX and Windows etc. One should know all about transference of files, Programming in C and C+, internet security management, web publishing, HTML Interactivity, loops, arrays and functions.
Aspiring candidates should have knowledge of Visual Basic and Elements in JAVA Programming. They should know all about error handling, basic active X controls, multiple document interfaces, graphics and working with forms. To sit for the speed test a personal should have knowledge of both Hindi and English languages. Computer machines are used to conduct the exam.
