1.TN TET 2012 Notification: TN TET 2012 notification is released by an advertisement number 04/2012 dated 7th March, 2012 for Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) 2012. TNTET 2012 notification is released in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 23 of the RTE Act, the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) dated 23rd August, 2010 to test the eligibility of candidates for the appointment as a teacher in classes I to VIII.
2.As per the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test 2012 notification Teachers Recruitment Board is appointed as the Nodal Agency for conducting of Teacher Eligibility Test and recruitment of Teachers as per G. O. (Ms) No. 181, School Education (C2) Department, dated 15th November, 2011. Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test 2012 Exam Date: 3rd June, 2012
4.TN TET 2012 Eligibility Criteria: Candidates should full-fill the minimum eligibility criteria to write Tamilnadu Teacher Eligibility Test 2012.
5.Tamilnadu TET 2012 Educational Qualification:
A.Classes I to V (Paper-I): Applicants should hold a degree of Higher Secondary Course (10+2 Pattern) and Diploma in Teacher Education from a recognized Institute to apply for TN TET 2012 of classes 1 to 5 (Paper 1).
B.Classes VI to VIII (Paper-II): Candidates with Bachelor degree (BA/B. Sc./B. Litt.) with Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, History and Geography or equivalent degree and a Degree in Teacher Education (B. Ed.) from a recognized university can apply for TNTET 2012 of classes 6 to 8 (Paper 2).
5.Appeared candidates in Final Year Examination of D. T. Ed./B. Ed. during the current Academic year are also eligible to apply for Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test 2012.

7.There will be total 150 Objective Types of MCQs for maximum 150 marks in the written test of Tamilnadu TET 2012 for Paper-I.

Language I – Tamil/Telugu/Malayalam/Kannada/Urdu – 30 – 30

8.There will be also total 150 MCQs for maximum 150 marks in the written test of Tamil Nadu TET 2012 for Paper-II.

10.TNTET 2012 Exam Centre:
TN TET 2012 exam will be held in all the 66 Educational District Headquarters. TN TET 2012 hall ticket will be made available to download 3 days before of exam from the official website.
11.TNTET 2012 Certificate: Applicants must secure minimum 60% marks to be eligible. A TET Eligibility Certificate will be issued by Teachers Recruitment Board for those candidates who secure minimum 60% marks in Tamilnadu TET 2012. TN TET 2012 certificate will be valid for 7 years from the date of issue.
12.Tamil Nadu TET 2012 Application and Exam Fee: Tamil Nadu TET 2012 Application can be received from the District Educational Officers on the payment of Rs. 50 in cash between 22nd March and 4th April, 2012. Tamilnadu TET 2012 Application fee is Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 for SC/ST/PWD) for both or even single paper. The application fee should be paid in any branch of State Bank of India only using the Challan Form attached with the Prospectus.
