1.Physics PET (Paper -II) Announcement:Physics Ph. D. Entrance Test (Paper II) will be held on 23rd of February (Thursday), 2012, at Department of Physics, University of Pune, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (3 hours duration). Candidates who have qualified the Ph. D. Entrance Examination for Paper I conducted by the University of Pune are eligible for appearing for this test.
2.The question paper will be for 100 marks. The question paper will consist of 20 multiple choice questions (MCQs), each carrying 1 mark, and 24 Descriptive Questions (DQs), each carrying 5 marks. All of the MCQs are compulsory, carrying a total of 20 marks . Out of 24 DQs any 16 have to be answered, carrying a total of 80 marks. There will be no negative marks for wrong answers.
3.The syllabus for the test is provided in the following pages.
4.Candidates should bring with them the Hall Ticket issued by the University of Pune for the Paper I Examination, conducted during the December, 2011. Those who have qualified Paper I Examination during the earlier years should bring with them some valid photo-identification (such as driving license, photo-identity card issued by the College/University).
