Scientific Society Dr KV Rao Science Fair:Dr. K.V. Rao Scientific Society, Hyderabad for the annual Science Fair 2011-12 announced in a statement. Elementary Science Fair is the science of physics, such as KVRSS, chemistry, mathematics and biology in the various departments to promote creativity and scientific discovery is a competition among school students.The Science Fair is open for school students studying 7th to 12th Classes in two categories. Category one is for classes 7th to 9th Class and Category II is for 10th to 12th Class. Following are details of registration and cash awards:
Dr.K.V.Rao Scientific Society is organizing various programmes at the school, college and university levels for the promotion of Scientific Education. for more than a decade. A science fair is a competition in which students present their science project results in the form of a report. They can display the models that they have created. This gives an opportunity for students to apply the scientific method to carry out research and also develops critical thinking skills. The projects can be submitted in any branch of science and either in Telugu or English.
Projects submitted by students will be judged on the basis of proper use of scientific method and thoroughness and will be awarded cash prizes. The winning projects in each Category will get cash awards to get Rs10,000, second best project to get Rs. 7500 and the the third best project will receive Rs. 5000. Along with cash awards, Certificate of Award and Dr.K.V.Rao Science Awards will be distributed at the annual function of the society. The Preliminary selection will be based on written reports of the project. Final project presentation will be held in Hyderabad on February 28, 2012.
Apart from these, Overall Best project award will be there and it wins a cash award of Rs.25,000. Cash awards of Rs.1000 will be given to other selected projects.
