The APSCHE selects the responsible universities that will conduct all Common Entrance Tests such as Eamcet, ECET, ICET, EDCET, LAWCET, PGECET, DIETCET etc. on its behalf. With the appointment of Prof Rameshwar Rao as the new Vice-Chancellor of JNTU Hyderabad in November 2011, it appears that the relations between Prof Rameswara Rao and APSCHE are under strain. Prof D.N. Reddy, who is known for his adinistrative capabilities was retired in August 2012. Prof. Rameswarao was removed from his post of convenor for PGECET 2011 due to his inept handling of the examination process.
